As I writer, I research and learn new things constantly. But when I profiled a beekeeper, it was the beginning of a passion—one that led to taking on hives of my own, developing a concern for the ecosystem they support, and wanting to find creative expressions of honey and beeswax.
I love old bottles—the intricacy of their design, the durability of antique containers, and stories behind the things they held.
Using casting materials similar to those in theater arts, I experimented until I found a way to create molds that recreate their vintage beauty in beeswax.
Our beeswax collection includes large, medium, and small candles, as well as tealights. Oatmeal soaps have a touch of the healing properties of honey with a bit of comb for texture,
and can be packaged as gifts.
